Oh How I Love Halloween!

Im a little sad I didn't get to dress up this year, but since we are moving... I packed all my old costumes.
Jax on the other hand look adorable!
We went to the trunk or treat at our church and then over to a friends house.

Gassy Baby?

The three things I cant live without.
Gas Drops: Most of you will know what gas drops are. They help break down the big bubbles into smaller bubbles.
The Windi: Its what I call a " butt whistle". Its a little odd because you have to stick it in their butt, but it helps let the air out and also helps if they cant poo. Worth it! I boil them after each time I use them since its a little pricy to only use them once.
Gripe water: This help settle their tummies and Jax sleeps so much longer after having it.

If you have a colicky baby, I definitely recommend all three. (But of course, talk to your doctor first)

7 Weeks Old

Lacy made her way into the picture. I had nothing to do with the posing.

Jax is still wearing newborn outfits and diapers. He is to big for Pampers newborns but does great in Huggies newborn diapers. I LOVE the natural ones.

Baby Jax has been doing so good with holding his head up. Its still a little wobbly but he is getting the hang of it. I cant wait till he can do it all by himself.

This week has been super busy for our little family. We are moving Nov 2nd so we have been packing like crazy. How is it packing with a 7 week old you ask? Well its definitely not easy. We try to rust to get as much as we can done while he is sleeping, but once he wakes up there is no chance of packing.

iPhone Mommas ( Sorry I'm an Apple girl)
There are two apps I came across and love!
Baby Journal by Similac. Even though I don't formula feed, I still love this app. It helps me keep track of both kinds of feeding; breast or bottle, diaper changes, pumping and sleeping.
WebMD Baby has some great info especially for new moms. Im also a big fan of their baby book journal. You can put all your baby's "Firsts" and weekly pictures to watch them grow.
Now of course there is probably some other really good apps out there, but this is what I have found so far that I like.

Jaxon got to meet his Great Aunt and Great Grandma.

Jaxon's first snow!

Yes he is holding his bottle. If only he knew how he did it and could repeat it.

This Little Girl Needs Your Support!

This beautiful little girl needs all the love and support she can get.
She has an undiagnosed liver disease.
Please follow her blog and help spread the word in hopes that someone out there might know whats going on.

I Love Etsy!

Etsy is always the first place I go when I want to get stuff for my little guy.
Since I have my own store, I understand how important it is to support some of the other shops.

Here are somethings I've bought so far...

I LOVE this Ouch Pouch. If I didn't have this, I would lose his gas drops and thermometer in my huge diaper bag. I also put his baby Tylenol and my Advil in there. It helps keep it all together so you can get to it fast.

I had to get these for Jaxon's newborn pictures! They are just so cute!!

I bought both my cheesecloths from here and absolutely loved them!
Jax looked so cute in the light blue one.
She also sells some pretty cute hats too.

I had the hardest time finding cute pacifier clips in the stores so I thought I would check on etsy so see what they had. I came across this store and found the perfect ones!
I keep one attached to Jaxon's car seat at all times.

Here are some shops that I would love to buy things from in the near future.

Since I'm going to be using cloth diapers soon I want a cute wet bag that had more then one function. I love how this one has a pocket on the outside for the wipes and changing pad.
She also makes some really cute diaper bags.

I just love this cute little owl! There are also some cute blankets I have had my eye on.

I dont want a sock monkey, I want a sock zebra!
How adorable is this?!?!

If you have a little boy, you will know how hard it is to find cute things for him. There is way more cute little girl things out there. Thats why I constantly check out etsy because I know I can always find something there.

6 Weeks Old

Oh my cute little man. Each and everyday I fall more and more in love with you.
Even when you wake me up in the middle of the night, I look down at your sweet face and forget that I'm exhausted. I absolutely love when you smile at me, and when you turn your head because you hear my voice. You just melt my heart.
I love you more then you can ever imagine.

Seth and Jaxon had their dedication this week. Christie and I were pregnant together and our boys got to be dedicated together. How special is that?!?! It was such an amazing feeling standing up there knowing we had the whole church praying for our boys. They even gave the boys their first bible. This is the first church that I have truly loved being apart of.

Jax was extremely needy earlier this week. He did not want to be put down so it was really hard for me to get things done. At night he has to sleep on my chest or he gets upset. I feel like I'm starting a bad habit already.  My poor colicky baby. Let me start by saying Gripe Water is a miracle worker. Before we were using it, Jax was always crying. It got worse at night which made it very hard for Mike and I to get sleep. (Hence him sleeping on my chest)
As of right now we give him 1 Tbs at night in a bottle and one in the morning. He sleeps so good after having it. The rest of the day I give him gas drops before feeding. I have also taken dairy, caffein, and spicy foods out of my diet to try and help. The things you will do for your baby...

Also this week Jaxon started taking his binky a lot more. He still will spit it out but if i hold it there long enough he will keep it in and enjoy it. At least that is a step in the right direction.

Im pretty sure within the next couple weeks ill be hearing lots of cooing. He has already started it a little but its every once in awhile. I also wont be surprised if he starts crawling early. Man oh man is this kid strong!

Hopefully this week ill be posting my best friends home birth. Her due date is Oct 26 so the baby should be here anytime now. We are all dying for her to have this baby since we dont know the sex.
I cant wait!!
